Man on Motorcycle Hit and Killed in Fort Lauderdale Hit-and-Run Accident

When people are involved in Florida traffic accidents, they are required by law to remain on the scene of the crash so that the police can conduct a proper investigation and sort the matter out for the good of those involved.  When a motorist leaves the scene of a crash, he or she commits a crime.  Tragically, that appears to be what occurred last week when a man on a motorcycle was hit and killed in a Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run accident.

According to the authorities, this Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.  A 52-year-old Plantation resident was riding his motorcycle in a northbound direction in the 4500 block of North Federal Highway when he was hit by the driver of a Lexus sedan.  The collision forced the motorcyclist to fall, and that fall led to injuries that proved to be fatal.  Police are asking anyone with information regarding this Fort Lauderdale motorcycle accident to come forward.
