One would think that an enormous red truck that’s sitting still would be easily spotted by just about anyone on the road.  This morning, several people were washing a fire engine at the Fort Lauderdale fire station when an SUV suddenly slammed into the parked vehicle.  Four people were sent to the hospital, including the driver of the vehicle that seemed to come from nowhere to make a violent impact.

According to the Sun-Sentinel:

“An SUV crashed into a fire-rescue truck that was being washed at a fire station Thursday morning, sending two firefighters, a paramedic trainee and the car’s driver to the hospital, an official said.

The woman who drove the black Nissan Pathfinder was seriously hurt, while the others were taken to Broward General Medical Center as a precaution, city spokesman Matt Little said.

The SUV crossed the street and hit a truck used by Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue paramedics, Little said.

Two firefighters and a Broward College student training to be a paramedic were by the truck at the time.

The crash caused about $2,000 damage to the truck. A piece of the truck was knocked off by the impact.

The Nissan’s front bumper and left driver-side window were smashed.”

This is clearly a strange occurrence, and at this point no one is sure what caused the accident.  If you or someone you love has been harmed by another driver, however, you need to take action by seeking the help of a Fort Lauderdale personal injury lawyer who has years of experience in holding those responsible for injuries accountable.  Contact Bernstein & Maryanoff today to schedule a free initial consultation.
